Long time no see! I feel like I have been away for ages! I do sincerely apologize to all of my followers for my absence, unfortunately, I was down with the sickness for a while (and not in a cool, Disturbed kind of way). This has set me back more than what I was hoping. I was not expecting to be away from my work for this long. However, I am ready to get back to work! Being out has given me the opportunity to revise my previous ideas and come up with new ones that feel more in line with the direction I want to take my work. This is especially because I am on a time crunch, as wet-ware cutoff is approaching quicker than I anticipated. To sum it all up, I’ve got to kick it into gear and start pumping out some work.

This coming week is spring break, so there will be no classes. I am taking this opportunity to go in and work on as many ideas that I have planned. I have ideas for tools and pieces that I feel very confident in. This past week I gathered supplies that I will be using as inspiration and to make different tools to use for my ceramic pieces. Below, are pictures of some of the things I gathered. It’s an odd mix of things, but I have a vision! I also successfully made two brushes (which is also pictured below). These brushes were pretty fun to make. I was able to I use some of the tips I learned from the demo with Ellen Kleckner and Linda Tien, along with some instructions from my professor’s YouTube video he posted. The process was pretty simple, so I could definitely see my self making more in the future. I have tons of other ideas for tools I plan on working on. Next week, I will update on my progress. Hopefully, I have some exciting things to show off!
